                    Hello, I am Worasitikulya Taratima. My research focuses on plant tissue culture, particularly in some crops and medicinal herbs. I aim to develop optimized protocols for the production of valuable phytochemicals through in vitro techniques. By manipulating culture conditions, such as nutrient media, growth regulators, and environmental factors, I explore ways to enhance the biosynthesis of bioactive compounds with potential pharmaceutical and industrial applications.
Additionally, I investigate plant responses to various abiotic stress conditions, with a special emphasis on the effects of global climate change. This involves studying how plants adapt morphologically, anatomically, and physiologically to stressors such as drought, salinity or heat. I observe these changes both in vitro and ex vitro, analyzing growth performance, anatomical adaptation, and biochemical responses to understand the mechanisms underlying stress tolerance.
My work bridges fundamental research and practical applications, contributing to the sustainable production of high-value plant compounds and the development of climate-resilient crops. By integrating tissue culture techniques with stress physiology, I aim to provide insights into improving plant productivity and resilience in the face of environmental challenges.
