Systematics of the polydesmid millipedes (Diplopoda: Paradoxosomatidae) and closely related groups based upon on morphological, ecological, biogeographical and molecular data: defining and naming groups of biological organisms, studying of the diversification of living forms in both past and present, and the relationships among living things through time, also exploring the evolutionary adaptation processes.

Our research is mainly focused on studying the morphology and DNA of myriapods to unveil their diversity, systematics, evolution and biogeography --- especially in Southeast Asia (Thailand, Laos, Cambodia, Myanmar, nearby).
- Revision of the dragon millipede genus Desmoxytes s.l.
- Revision of the tiny millipedes order Polydesmida (micropolydesmoids) genera Eutrichodesmus, Trichopeltis, etc.
- Studies of the cavernous micropolydesmoid millipedes
- Systematics of cave millipedes orders Spirostreptida and Callipodida in Mainland Southeast Asia
- Micro-sculptures and micro-structures (micromorphology) of millipedes order Polydesmida
